Our aim was to present the organisation as a modern hub for Scotland’s deep-tech sector. A clean visual style, bold typography, and structured layouts were used to communicate innovation, collaboration, and industry leadership.
A modular design system supports a wide range of content, including sector information, events, resources, and partner organisations. The user experience focuses on clarity and accessibility, helping visitors easily navigate complex technology topics through clear content hierarchy and reusable visual components.
The website was developed in WordPress using a fully custom theme tailored to the client’s content structure and long-term scalability requirements. The build focused on creating a flexible CMS experience that allows the internal team to manage dynamic content areas such as events, news articles, resources, and partner profiles without developer support.
Custom post types and advanced content relationships were implemented to organise the large volume of sector-specific information and stakeholder content. This enabled seamless integration between technologies, organisations, resources, and event listings while maintaining a consistent user experience across the site.
Performance and responsiveness were prioritised throughout development to ensure fast load times and optimal usability across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The site also incorporated SEO best practices, scalable page templates, and an intuitive backend editing experience to support future growth and ongoing content expansion.
